Hi, I’m Tim Christian Jones — a passionate Leeds wedding photographer based near Kirkstall Abbey.
My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and rooted in real connection.
As your day unfolds, I’m there to capture the story — gently and honestly. Whether it’s a simple gathering or a more lavish celebration, I photograph with care and intention to create images that feel true to you.
I always listen and shape my approach around your expectations, so you’ll have photographs you genuinely love.

A Unique and Individual Style of Natural Leeds Wedding Photography
Your wedding is as individual as you are, your photos will be too. In my Portfolio what I hope you will see images full of personality — this is where I do feel my style is unique.
Welcome to my Portfolio, where my photography will tell the story — a minimalist purist presentation of my work.
What do I love about the image above? Real shades of grey, unedited, exactly as it was — the right camera and the right lens.
I knelt down to capture this moment that remains timeless — I am truly passionate about photography, and uncompromising.
I hope you see something just a little different here, and my images stand out amongst the many Leeds wedding photographers. - An Allerton Castle wedding.

A Quiet Presence, A Thoughtful Approach
From Papakata tents to skeet shooting in the sunshine — I’ve seen all kinds of wedding days, and I love how different they can be.
My role isn’t just to document what happens, but to gently guide when needed. Whether it’s calming the pace or making sure portraits don’t steal too much time, I’m there with a quiet presence and a careful eye.
I believe in giving couples space to enjoy the day — while I quietly capture the moments that matter most.

Big sister, steady hands —
a moment just theirs, surrounded by joy.

I’ve grown up with a camera in my hands — it’s always felt like a natural part of me. I love photographing weddings across Leeds and beyond, and it never feels like work.
Before the day, I take time to get to know each couple, often building a friendship along the way. It’s your personality — and the people you’ve chosen to share the day with — that I focus on capturing.

Colourful chaos — preparation photos are always a great place to start, and every preparation I photograph is so different. I don't look for the same shots, or perfect poses — I am there to capture the moment of chaos in a calm approach.
Photos really do freeze the moment and memory — when composition is right first time, there is never a need to edit or crop. I think this purist approach began as I shot with film cameras as a child where thought goes into each shot.
This is what I can bring to your wedding day...

I walked to the Civic Hall Leeds for their late September wedding — there was not one cloud in the perfect bluest skies I have ever seen.
At this point their friends and family had made their way to the Lost & Found Leeds Club — we stayed for 10 minutes for a few relaxed photos.
The couple stopped for a drink at the side of the square, I had to tell them to stick with that plan as they were worried about the time.
Just sat for 5 minutes and a couple of photos I took there made all the difference — a moment to breathe and gather your thoughts.

From the Civic Hall Leeds, I jumped in the taxi with Gemma & Danny — dropped of close by, I followed them down to the Lost & Found Leeds Club — taking photos along the way and capturing this perfect moment — happiness!

The night before the wedding, Emily & Matthew, and their friends and family camped out in teepee-style tents at the venue — the rain was torrential.
But, when they awoke, the sunshine arrived and stayed all day, save the amazing dramatic skies you can see in one of their wedding photos below.
Above, a calm moment captured in the golden hour for photography. If you are looking for a photographer for your Leeds or Yorkshire wedding, I'd love to hear from you.

Photography Passion to Profession — Leeds and Yorkshire Weddings
Believe it or not, my first wedding booking happened because of holiday photos. A fellow traveller saw them on the plane home and said they looked like postcards.
That led to my first wedding: a garden marquee reception in Leeds. They only booked me for part of the day — but once they saw the photos, they wished I’d stayed for the evening too. That still makes me smile.
Between the wild riverbanks and the quiet woodland paths, this corner of Yorkshire feels like home. Walking here reminds me why I chose Leeds, and why I love capturing real, heartfelt wedding days in places like this.

Why I Love to Capture Weddings
Weddings are beautifully unpredictable — and that’s what I love. The light changes, the weather shifts, emotions run high — and that’s exactly why I love them.
As a wedding photographer in Leeds, I never know what the day will bring — and I love that. I didn’t start out with a polished wedding portfolio.
What caught people’s attention were simple, everyday pictures — a certain light, a candid smile, a frame composed with quiet care.
Over time, that became my approach: shoot with intention, edit lightly, and stay true to the moment. That’s where the name Purist Pix comes from — a nod to the real, unpolished beauty I try to preserve.
